ARRIVING BY CAR

There are several routes you can take to get to Lynton, some of which are incredibly picturesque.

You could:

Exit the M5 at junction 23 or 24 and take the A39 through the Quantock Hills to Minehead.  This road will then take you through the bustling village of Porlock, up the notorious Porlock Hill and on to Lynmouth and Lynton.

Or:

Exit the M5 at junction 27 and take the A361 towards Barnstaple, then take the A399 towards Ilfracombe, then onto the A39 at Blackmore Gate signposted to Lynton.

Alternatively:

Leave the A361 at Tiverton and take the A396 towards Dunster and either take the B3223 through Dulverton and Simonsbath, or follow the course of the River Quarme to Wheddon Cross, joining the B3224 to Simonsbath.

Whichever route you choose, you will see some spectacular scenery. Get directions from your starting point.
